And it can also signify the tolerance and value range: M55342E06B 10"A"2 S = 10.2 ohm @ 0.1% M55342E06B 10"D"2 S = 10.2 ohm @ 1.0% M55342E06B 10"G"2 S = 10.2 ohm @ 2.0% Though in reality you would never have a 10.2 ohm @ 2%, but you get the idea.
